Yes my purpose is to promote health and relaxation. At the depth of the art, one will find tai chi is based on nature and harmony, its purpose is to help us understand nature, be more harmonious with nature, with ourselves and with each other. Self defence is only one aspect. One of the great tai chi masters, Sun Lu-tang (creator of Sun style tai chi) said: “the highest level of tai chi is to understand the Dao” The Dao is the way of nature.

well every form in tai chi has a purpose. It can be used to either block or attack. But this guy doesn’t tell you about it because his purpose is to teach other for $ and for health/relaxation.

If you really want to understand the concepts in tai chi you need to find a very good master. Some are do the tai chi forms very well and it looks SUPERB but they don’t understand the concepts behind it. They don’t know why they do that form and how it can be used for self-defense.

To get the results you are looking for in less than 6 weeks … do the following … 3 times per week – Perform 8 sets with 1 minute rest between sets. Each Set = 9 exercises X 8 Reps Per Excercise no rest in between exercises. Each set should take no more than 4 minutes. Total work out time = 39 minutes. If you find yourself finishing a single set faster than 4 minutes then increase the weight. If completing a single set takes longer than 4 minutes then decrease the weight.

I’m 16, 6 foot tall, and weigh about 145 lbs. using 15 lb dumbells, how long would it take to see noticable results with this routine doing it 3 times a week plus protein shakes, vitamens, supplements and such? I have a high metabolism and am very active in sports (football, lacrosse). So could i expect to see real results in 3 weeks? thanks

@LostTitans I’m 5′ 6″ and weigh like 120 lbs, so you’re likely as skinny as a twig. You have to eat a fair amount more than you do in addition to a routine like this if you’re wanting to gain muscle mass.

@xDisasterzFear You do this rountine up to 8 times in a row. that will be 32 min if you did that. rest 2 min in b/t. start off doing it 2 times in a row and work your way up from there.

@JackSHWA If you train hard, you can lose about 2% in body fat in just one month. bc your body fats is not high as it is, your training has to be on key. At 11% you should be able to see all 6 pack. Again, the lower body fat your at, the harder it is to get leaner.

@ibiteharddd rep range b/t 8 and 12 is the best to build muscle. under 8 reps builds more strength and some mass, over 12 reps builds more endurance and little muscle.
